Graham Strange

Head of Victim Care and Advice Service

Graham is responsible for the overall development and management of VCAS across the Cleveland Police and Durham Constabulary areas ensuring that a high quality of service is delivered to help victims cope with the immediate impact of crime and assist them in their subsequent recovery.

Cleveland Team

Dave Mead

VCAS Manager- Cleveland

Dave is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of VCAS in the Cleveland Police area. He supervises and directs the Cleveland based VCAS Team Leader, the Victim Care Officers, the VCAS Support Officer as well as a small group of volunteers that help to deliver the service. He also works to develop effective information exchange arrangements and referral pathways with the police and other partners to ensure that victims, who may be in need of support, are identified, assessed and the action is taken that is relevant to their coping and recovery needs.   This is regardless of whether the crime was reported to the Police or not. Finally he ensures that a high standard of service is provided to victims by monitoring the caseload of the Victim Care Officers and ensuring that quality of service interviews are carried out.

Karen Storey

VCAS Team Leader- Cleveland with responsibility for Redcar and Cleveland

Karen supports the Cleveland VCAS Manager in the day-to-day delivery of VCAS. She assists in the allocation and monitoring of the caseload and provides coaching and support for Victim Care Officers, new recruits to VCAS and VCAS volunteers. In addition to the Team Leader role Karen supports victims of crime from the Redcar and Cleveland area. She helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim's personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Jack Stokes

Victim Care Officer- Middlesbrough & Stockton

Jack supports victims of crime from the Middlesbrough and Stockton area. He helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim’s personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Claire Vodden

Victim Care Officer- Middlesbrough & Redcar and Cleveland

Claire supports victims of crime from the Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland area. She helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim’s personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Colleen Simms

VCAS Administrative Support-

Colleen answers calls to VCAS, provides initial advice where appropriate, makes updates to the VCAS Case Management System, provides comprehensive and effective administrative support for the VCAS Team, general office administrative support and continuous improvement of the administrative functions.

Lottie Dixon

Victim Care Officer- Middlesbrough

Lottie supports victims of crime from the Middlesbrough area. She helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim’s personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Bill Webster

Victim Care Officer- Stockton

Bill supports victims of crime from the Stockton area. He helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim’s personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Helen Oldroyd

Victim Care Officer- Hartlepool

Helen supports victims of crime from the Hartlepool area. She helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim’s personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Durham Team

Mark Warcup

VCAS Manager- Durham

Mark is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of VCAS in the Durham Constabulary area. Leanne Bowman

VCAS Team Leader- Responsibility for Durham West

Leanne supports the Cleveland VCAS Manager in the day-to-day delivery of VCAS. She assists in the allocation and monitoring of the caseload and provides coaching and support for Victim Care Officers, new recruits to VCAS and VCAS volunteers. In addition to this Leanne leads on the development and delivery of internal training for the service. In addition to the Team Leader role Leanne supports victims of crime from the Durham West area. She helps victims to identify their coping and recovery needs and subsequently assists in the development of a jointly owned recovery plan that is suitable to the victim's personal situation. This support is provided regardless of whether the incident was reported to the police or not.

Lucy Hatch

Victim Care Officer- VCAS Administrative Support
